I thought the race was amazingly well organised & signed apart from that one field! I hope you are thinking of taking up ultra running after this one! Well done to your sister also :-)Caroline Mckayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04705902932577578049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6102809117820666051.post-22254433050476555862013-03-15T01:21:34.481-07:002013-03-15T01:21:34.481-07:00Great write-up. I was the second Norwegian girl you met in that race, and I thought about following your pace for the last few miles, but the minute we hit the tarmac on that last loop you just seemed to have a lot more power in your legs than me. I met my sister in the field you mentioned where the signage seemed to disappear. I saw you zigzagging around up there and was hesitant to follow in case you had taken a wrong turn, and while I scouted for the markers I stumbled over my sister who had missed a sign earlier and continued along the bach instead of going over that last gold course. She was worried she had lost her podium position because of that. We decided to keep each other company for the last few miles. Congrats on finishing second, my goal for the day was just to finish - up until that day I had never run further than 35 K, so ending up 4th among the women and 5th overall was a nice surprise!
